Methods for Dealing with Anger, Aggression, and Rage

Aggression is built into each of us by nature, and every time we try to suppress it, we direct our forces against ourselves. The accumulated energy of anger destroys us from the inside, causing illness, fatigue and depression. Is it worth it? How can you get rid of accumulated grievances and negative emotions? You must free your feelings! Blows of rage are a natural defense mechanism of the body, helping us get rid of emotions and experiences that overwhelm us. However, not everyone can react in this way because they believe that a frank expression of anger is bad or that this way they show their weakness.

The fact is, we must recognize our weaknesses. Allow yourself to be angry and aggressive. Do you like to laugh? Do you suppress or allow this emotion? You should know that happiness is the same natural feeling as anger.

Get rid of the beliefs that hold back the manifestation of your true nature, and free yourself from the accumulated emotions without condemning yourself. Keep reading and you will learn more about the methods of dealing with anger, aggression, and rage.

#1. Do not get too close to the limit

The best and simplest way to deal with anger is to express your feelings to the one who made you angry. Just tell him: “You know, I don’t like it when you do this or when you talk to me in a certain way” or “I’m mad at you because…”.

#2. Keep a private diary

Keep a diary and write down everything that caused your anger. Describe what irritated you and how you felt at that moment. Assessing what is going on will help you find the cause of the anger and change your own beliefs.

#3. Try to control yourself

Take a deep breath and count to ten. An uncontrollable surge of irritation and anger can greatly harm you, ruining your career and personal life. Therefore, it is very important to learn how to cope with indignation and anger. You can also take a walk to bring your emotions in order.

#4. Buddha Smile

Calm down and try not to think about anything. Fully relax the muscles of the face and imagine how they are filled with heaviness and warmth, and then, losing their elasticity, they seem to “bleed” in a pleasant languor. Focus on the corners of your lips.

Imagine that your lips move apart, forming a slight smile. Do not use muscle effort! You will feel your lips themselves reaching out to a barely perceptible smile, and your whole body will have a feeling of nascent joy. Try to do this exercise daily.

#5. Step forward – the beast, step back – a man

Take a step forward, causing a wild rage, feel the willingness to destroy everything in your path. Then take a step back, doing the “Buddha Smile”, returning to a state of absolute calm. Take again a step forward, turning into an enraged beast, and step back, turning into a man.

This exercise requires a lot of emotional expenses. Stop as soon as you feel tired. With regular practice, you will see that your steps become faster, and you will learn how to easily move from rage to complete tranquility.

Take just a few minutes out of each day to bring yourself to a state of calm and wellness and balance your life using a combination of guided meditations and mindfulness techniques. The techniques are a simple, practical relaxation method for anyone.
